With each passing lie and forgotten time, with each heartbreak and lonely tear I learned protect myself; to hide behind the mask. With every severed romance my world loss color and fulfillment, vibrancy and meaning. And then I met you, my masqueraded friend, and soon our world was brighter and signs of life began to blossom. Slowly our masks disappeared leaving only the layers of pain and regret to cover us. But calmly our dance began and we tore apart the demon that covered us in painful lies. And with this beautiful dance you found me and I found you, the truest person once thought forsaken.
